Pastoral Care is fundamental to our faith and a ministry of Christ Church. If you are facing illness, a life transition or challenging circumstances, please contact one of our clergy. We are available when you need us for a hospital, 江西11选5开奖结果, or office visit. Christ Church has many lay volunteers who are readily available to provide meals and rides as needed. Please reach out to the clergy through the office at (847) 446-2850, or on their cell phones:
One of the ways we are called to serve is by caring for each other — by extending a hand of friendship, a listening ear, or providing meals or rides for one another. Our Caring Ministries are vital and active, and led by parishioners who give generously in service to our parish community.
Our Caring Ministries are an extension of the pastoral care provided by clergy, and you are encouraged to reach out to clergy if you find yourself in any kind of need. To receive help or assistance, please contact a member of the clergy.
A virtual army of cooks is always on call to provide meals to parishioners who need a hand with the daily demands of running a household during challenging life events. The committee will provide meals for a day, a week, or as long as needed. To join this Caring Ministry, please contact Carrie Healy.
This Caring Ministry provides rides for parishioners who cannot drive themselves. If you would like to help provide transportation for parishioners from time to time, or if you have a transportation need, please contact the Carrie Healy.
Altar Flower Deliveries
This Caring Ministry is charged with delivering flowers from the altar following Sunday services. Flowers are delivered as a way to brighten someone’s day, to honor a special event in a parishioner’s life, or to say a special thank you. If you would like to join this Caring Ministry, please contact Judy Harmon.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers
Trained parishioners visit those who are 江西11选5开奖结果bound, or ill, or facing a time of grief or crisis. In addition to providing companionship and support, our Lay Chaplains may pray with you, or share communion (from the reserved sacrament) as desired. Lay Chaplains serve under the training and leadership of our clergy. For more information, contact Christopher Powell, Rector.

Grief Support Group
We join with Kenilworth Union Church and the Samaritan Counseling Center to provide a confidential, supportive, and educational environment to grieve the loss of a friend or loved one. This group meets from 7:00-8:30 pm at Kenilworth Union Church on the first and third Mondays of each month. The sessions are facilitated by a trained clinician from the Samaritan Counseling Center. Participants are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as desired at no cost. For more information, please contact the Rev. Rodney Quainton.
The holidays can be a lonely time for many people. Those seeking companionship during this challenging time of year are invited to share a meal in the 江西11选5开奖结果s of other parishioners. For more information, please contact Susan Garland.
